Windows Save Energy

All energy efficient windows have at least two panes, but not all double-paned windows are energy efficient. Twenty years ago double-paned meant energy efficient.

Old Windows Cost More than New Ones

Industry expert Ed Earnest with Clear Choice USA in Oklahoma City (405-945-0035) notes that "today, advanced technologies have enabled the development of windows that are much more efficient than traditional clear glass double-paned windows. Energy Star qualified windows, doors and skylights save you energy and money every year, increase the comfort of your home and protect your valuable possessions from sun damage. They are also better for the environment because lowering your energy use means less air pollution from power plants. If your home is over 20 years old, chances are that your windows are robbing you of hundreds of dollars every year."

Options and Choices

Clear Choice offers several options and packages which include energy efficient packages, security features, grids and screens, wood grain interiors and different color selections. There are many other window styles that are available through Clear Choice include: Casement windows, picture windows, garden windows, slider windows, bow windows, and bay windows.

Energy Savings and a $200 Tax Credit Too

Thanks to the federal Energy Policy Act of 2005 a tax credit of 10% is available for windows installed in 2006 and 2007. The maximum credit is $200.00 for windows and they must have the Energy Star certification. All windows from Clear Choice USA with Low E and Argon are Energy Star certified.
